KDSS Components
Step 1: Verify Compatibility
Before installation, ensure your vehicle is compatible with the KDSS Control Harness Kit.

Step 2: Gather Tools & Materials
If you ordered only the harness kit, you will need additional items such as:
- Wire to extend to switch location
- Butt connectors
- Fuse taps
- Zip ties
If you purchased the full kit with the dash switch, all necessary components are included.
Step 3: Installation Process
1. Locate the KDSS Connector:
- Find the KDSS computer under the dashboard (refer to installation video).
- Unplug the connector for installation.
2. Attach the Harness:
- Connect the KDSS harness to the OEM connector.
- Ensure all connections are secure.
3. Run the Wiring:
- Route the wiring to your desired switch location.
- Use zip ties to keep wires tidy and secure.
4. Connect to Switch Module:
- If using an aftermarket switch module (such as Switch Pro), connect the control harness according to the switch instructions.
- For a direct install with our dash switch, follow the wiring diagram included in the PDF guide.
5. Testing the System:
- Start the vehicle and test the switch functionality.
- The sway bar should disengage when switched on and function normally when switched off.

Installation Steps:
1. Prepare the Vehicle:
- Park on a flat surface and ensure the vehicle is securely supported with jack stands.
- Remove the front wheels for better access to the sway bar.
2. Loosen Existing Hardware:
- Using a 19mm socket, remove the factory sway bar bolts and carefully set them aside.
- If you're working on a GX470, be sure to modify the OEM bushing bracket hooks and mounting holes for a proper fit if you're not using the recommended Drkdss bushing bracket.
3. Install the KDSS Adapters:
- Position the new adapters onto the factory sway bar mounts.
- Use the provided M12 bolts to secure the adapters in place, following the specified bolt size for each mounting point:
- Ensure the adapters align correctly and are positioned to allow sway bar movement without obstruction.
4. Tighten and Secure:
- Torque the bolts to the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
- Use a rubber mallet to gently adjust positioning if needed.
5. Check Clearance:
- Verify that the sway bar does not make contact with any surrounding components, such as the frame or skid plates.
6. Final Inspection:
- Lower the vehicle and test the suspension movement to ensure full range of motion without binding.
- Take a short test drive and inspect for any unusual noises or alignment issues.

- Use the long slotted radius mounting hole to make any necessary adjustments for optimal sway bar positioning.
- If using with KDSS billet adapters, ensure the setup aligns properly without binding.
5. Tighten and Secure:
- Torque the bolts to the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
- Double-check all connections to ensure a secure fit and avoid movement during suspension travel.
6. Final Inspection:
- Lower the vehicle and test articulation by cycling the suspension to check for any potential bushing bind.
- Take a short test drive to confirm improved sway bar performance and alignment.

- Use the trim removal tool to carefully pry off the dash panel where the switch will be installed.
- Identify the existing factory wiring harness for the ABS/TRAC system.
3. Installing the Harness Kit:
- Connect the harness inline with the factory ABS/TRAC wiring.

Installation Steps:
1. Preparation:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Use jack stands to support the rear axle and ensure proper clearance.
- Remove the rear wheels for easier access.
2. Removing the Factory Track Bar:
- Loosen the frame-side track bar bolt to relieve tension.
- Remove the track bar bolt from the axle side using a 19mm socket.
- Secure the factory bar out of the way using a bungee cord or zip ties.
3. Installing the New Track Bar:
- Position the new track bar in place, aligning it with the factory mounting points.
- Insert the OEM main bolt first into the frame-side bracket, securing it loosely.
- Install the provided hardware, including the bottom and side bolts.
- Tighten all bolts incrementally to ensure proper alignment.
4. Torque Specifications:
- Torque the main track bar bolt to 85 ft-lbs.
- Torque the remaining bolts (side and bottom) to 30-35 ft-lbs using thread locker to prevent loosening.
5. Final Checks:
- Inspect for any potential clearance issues and ensure proper alignment.
- Lower the vehicle from the jack stands and perform a short test drive.
- Re-torque all bolts after 100 miles of driving.
