Sequoia Track Bar Correction: Parts and Fitment

The Sequoia carries more weight, higher up, than most of the platforms we build for. That changes how much a geometry error costs you.
Why weight makes this worse
A steeply angled track bar pulls the axle sideways as the suspension moves. The force behind that movement scales with how much mass is sitting on the axle.
On a lighter truck a small geometry error is a small annoyance. On a loaded three row wagon it is a shove. Add a roof load or a full third row and the effect grows again, which is why Sequoia owners tend to notice this sooner than 4Runner owners running the same lift.
What bolts on
We build track bar correction kits for the Sequoia in Gen3 and Gen1 fitments. Both are quarter-inch mild steel, powder coated, and both use the factory mounting points.
Check your generation against the listing before ordering. The mounting differs between them and the wrong kit will not fit.
The install
Same procedure as the rest of the range. Socket set with 14mm, 18mm and 19mm, torque wrench, pry bar, jack and stands, and a round file in case the powder coat has narrowed a hole.
Loosen the frame side first to relieve pressure, then take out the axle side bolt. Fit the brackets, run the supplied M14 bolt in loose to line everything up, then tighten.
90 to 100 ft-lbs on every bolt. Re-torque at 100 miles.

Worth checking while you are under there
On a truck of this weight and age, look at the sway bar links and bushings while the wheel is off. Worn links contribute to the same lean people blame on the lift, and you are already in position to inspect them.
FAQ
Will one kit cover Gen1 and Gen3?
No. They are separate part numbers. Order for your generation.
Does load make the correction more important?
It makes the uncorrected geometry more noticeable. The fix is the same.
Is welding required?
No. It bolts to the factory mounts.
