KDSS Upgrades Under $200 That Actually Do Something

A B.O.T.C.K. bracket bolted to the factory axle mount. Powder coated quarter-inch mild steel, no welding required.
Plenty of cheap parts exist. Fewer of them change how the truck drives. These do, and every one of them comes in under two hundred dollars.
The best value on the site, and most people miss it
Blemished correction kits. Same steel, same geometry, same hardware, with a cosmetic flaw in the powder coat. A blemished Gen3 4Runner B.O.T.C.K. sits under two hundred dollars, which puts a full track bar correction kit inside this budget.
The part goes under the truck. Nobody sees the finish. If you are choosing between a perfect finish and having the correction done at all, this is an easy call.

Sway bar billet clamps
Around seventy five to eighty dollars a pair, front or rear. Machined 6061 billet aluminum, anodized, replacing stamped factory clamps that spread under load. This is the cheapest way to sharpen how quickly the bar responds.
Bushing bracket
Under a hundred dollars. Billet paired with polyurethane instead of aging rubber. If your truck has a decade on it, the factory bushings are further gone than they look. See it here.
Rear sway bar drop kit
Starts around ninety dollars depending on configuration. Brings rear bar geometry back on a lifted truck, using 7075 aluminum and stainless hardware. Details.
Dash switch and control harness
The factory fit dash switch is around thirty five dollars and looks like it came with the truck. The control harness is the wiring side, around one sixty five.
Fuse box cover
Around forty dollars. Not a performance part. It solves finding the right fuse on a dark trail, which is a problem you only have once before you fix it. Here.
What to skip on a budget
Do not buy a stiffer aftermarket sway bar to fix lean. If the lean is coming from worn links or a bad track bar angle, the bar will not fix it and you will have spent the money.
Do not buy alignment before you buy geometry. The alignment will not hold.
The order that gets the most from the least
Blemished correction kit first if you are lifted. Clamps and bushings next. Everything else after you have driven it.
Prices shift, so treat these as guidance and check the current listing.
